SEAEYE PANTHER PLUS

A light weight work class ROV & an evolution of the Seaeye Panther to provide greater power, payload & interface options. Forward thrust has been doubled to an impressive 220 kg and lateral thrust increased from 85 kg to 170 kg with a relatively small increase of the vehicle's in air weight to 500 kg. Payload has been increased to 105 kg A particular benefit of the 'Plus' configuration of pairs of vectored thrusters and two vertical thrusters is the level of redundancy available. The power for the thrusters is split into two channels with each channel providing DC to one vertical thruster and 4 of the 8 horizontal thrusters. If a fault should develop on one channel it can be isolated allowing operations to continue at half power. If there is a failure in only one horizontal thruster the effect on vehicle performance and control will be barely noticeable.

COMANCHE SMALL WORK ROV SYSYTEM

Comanche incorporates a fully electric, seven thruster propulsion system, configured to provide high thrust and lifting capability. It uses a 3000 Volt, 400 Hz power transmission system from surface to ROV resulting in a small tether, main lift cable and launch/recovery system. This transmission system makes it particularly suited for long tether excursions and deep live-boating operations. Comanche is equipped with additional power sources to allow the use of a 15 kW / 20 hp hydraulic power unit for running tools and work skids and for rig support intervention tasks. When compared with hydraulic work-class systems, the Comanche provides important customer benefi ts with regard to capital and operational expenditure, simplicity of use and requires less deck space.
